I candidly acknowledge that my hobbies and interests are eclectic. Which makes it all the more satisfying when they collide, as three of them (cryptic crosswords, professional wrestling, and political nerdery) did in 13-down of yesterday’s Sydney Morning Herald cryptic crossword. The clue?

Things to ponder: did appearing in the crossword prompt him to resign from Parliament? Maybe, like the girls in Bandits, appearing in the crossword is the fulfilment of a long-held ambition, after which he can retire satified.
